Salidroside contents of Rhodiola plants growing in different regions.

The salidroside contents in six species of Rhodiola growing in different regions were analyzed using HPLC with MeOH as solvent.The plant rhizome was extracted by Ultrasonic in room temperature for 45 min.The chromatographic conditions were as follows:Dikma ODS-3V column(4.6×250 mm),with methyl alcohol-water as the flow phase(MeOH∶H2O=3∶7),column temperature 25℃ and UV detector at 275 nm.The result shows that there was no salidroside in Rhodiola dumulosa and Rhodiola taohoensis.The contents of salidroside in the other four plants were Rhodiola crenulata 0.36%,Rhodiola kirilowii 0.32%,Rhodiola eurycarpa 0.14%,Rhodiola henryi 0.04%.
