MALDI-TOF-MS technology was used for identification o f lipopeptide antibiotics produced by GEB3 strain, a derivative of Bacillus su btilis 168 which transformed by lpaB3 gene. The result showed GEB3 produce d only lipopeptide antibiotic surfactin. The analysis by LC-MS demonstrated tha t GEB3 produced standard surfactin isoforms with side chain lengths of 13,14 and 15 carbon atoms. The bioactivity detection of the surfactin indicated that the surfactin produced by GEB3 had inhibition effect to plant pathogens Pyriculari a oryzae and Rhizoctonia solani.
