[Objective]To observe the regulatory effect of silkworm pupa oil on serum lipids.[Methods]The constitution of fatty acids and the content of free fatty acids were analyzed by the method of gas chromatography.Male SD rats were divided into three silkworm pupa oil groups(0.2 g/kg.bw、0.6 g/kg.bw、1.2 g/kg.bw)and one high fat control group according to serum TC level. On the 30th day after gastric perfusion, the level of serum lipids including serum TC、TG and HDL-C of the rats were measured.[Results]The percent of unsaturated fatty acids was 71.97%(α-linolenic acid accounted for 34.33%,oleic acid accounted for 31.11%)in silkworm pupa oil.The levels of serum TC and TG in high fat group were markedly higher than pre-trial,which indicated the successful mode of high fat animal.Compared with high fat control group, serum TG significantly decreased significantly in the group of 1.2 g/kg.bw silkworm pupa oil(P﹤0.05),while HDL-C level obviously increased in the group of 0.6 g/kg.bw silkworm pupa oil(P﹤0.05).[Conclusions]silkworm pupa oil rich α-linolenic acid and oleic acid can reduce serum triglyceride.
