Objective:To study the relation of the heart rate variability between obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and the non- obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.Methods:24 hours ambulatory electrocardiography was used to determine the heart rate variability among 35 patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and 45 patients with non-obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. Results:The heart rate variability of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome was much lower than that of non-obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(P0.05).Conclusions:The heart rate variability is one of the selected indexes for obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
