Abstract To efficiently remove toluene from flue gas, a series of Co-Mn-Ce trimetallic oxides modified biochar (XCo a Mn b Ce c /AC) was developed. The 10%Co 0.3 Mn 0.2 Ce 0.5 /AC catalyst demonstrated exceptional performance, which resulted from its abundant oxygen vacancies and the strong trimetallic interaction that promoted redox cycling. This study offers an economically viable and highly efficient solution for toluene purification within the coal-fired power industry, with the objective of achieving waste control by utilizing waste.
