Protective effect and mechanisms of puerarin in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis of animal studies

Puerarin may improve MASLD by regulating lipid metabolism, reducing inflammation, and exerting antioxidant effects. These findings provide preclinical support for the potential therapeutic use of puerarin in the management of MASLD. However, its efficacy and safety require further confirmation through larger and higher-quality preclinical studies.
