摘要
ABSTRACT In the current study, we attempted to formulate the silver nanoparticles using Scrophularia striata leaf as a new chemotherapeutic drug for the head and neck cancers treatment using characterization tests such as UV–Vis, EDX, TEM, and FE‐SEM for the first time. The new chemotherapeutic supplement developments with notable potential for the cancer treatment are priorities for both developed and developing nations. The MTT test was applied to the A‐253, SCC‐15, FaDu, and Detroit 562 cancer cell lines to check the cytotoxicity and anti‐head and neck cancer properties of AgNPs. BHT was utilized as the positive control in the DPPH test to examine the AgNP antioxidant qualities. The nanoparticles had a spherical form and the size of 10–70 nm in the TEM and FE‐SEM pictures. Following treatment with low quantities of AgNPs, the MTT assay findings verified the removal of the A‐253, SCC‐15, FaDu, and Detroit 562 cell lines. Half of the DPPH molecules were suppressed by silver nanoparticles at a dose of 45 μg/mL. As previously stated, AgNPs demonstrated strong anti‐head and neck cancer effects against the aforementioned cell lines. These Ag NPs can be employed as a chemotherapeutic medication to treat head and neck tumors after the findings of the clinical trial studies have been approved.
