摘要
Screening current is a persistent current that flows in the wide area of second-generation high-temperature superconducting (2G HTS) coated conductor, which is induced when a 2G HTS magnet is energized. The screening current induced field (SCIF) will cause the reduction and the temporal drift of the center magnetic field in the HTS magnets. This paper reports a novel structure HTS tape with 1 mm width for high precise HTS magnet design. The principle of this tape structure, which is so-called 2s + 1c tape, is to stack two narrow HTS tapes and one copper tape through the soldering furnace. In this paper, we did the experiments of the SCIF hysteresis loop for the coil wound with the 2s + 1c tape and the benchmark coil wound with the commercial 5 mm wide HTS tape. Then, a numerical model for SCIF hysteresis loop was verified by experimental results. Based on the validated model, we analyzed the behavior of SCF to other operating conditions, such as temperature control and current sweep reversal. Finally, the 2s + 1c tape was confirmed as a new approach to reducing the SCIF significantly.
