Reactions of perhalocarbons. Part IX. Conversion of per(poly)fluoroalkyl halides into the corresponding carboxylic acids with a redox system

Abstract The conversion of per(poly)fluoroalkyl halides into the corresponding carboxylic acids with a redox system-(NH 4 ) 2 S 2 O 8 /HCO 2 Na is described. This reaction provides a convenient method for the synthesis of various per(poly)fluorocarboxylic acids under mild conditions.
