The dynamics of the absorbed dose of ionizing radiation in the fishes of the Glyboke Lake located in zone close to the Chernobyl accident was assessed. Models of radioactive contamination of abiotic components and fishes as well as models of fishes radiation dose formation were developed. It was revealed that in 1986 the rate of the absorbed radiation dose reached 0.13 Gy/day. Within 6 months after the accident, the dose rate by 90Sr, 134Cs and 137Cs radiation increased. The absorbed dose in the non-predatory fishes of the Glyboke Lake for this period was estimated as equal to 27−50 Gy.
