Theoretical Research of the Characteristics of Pbfree Solder Pastes and their Selection Algorithm

Each enterprise tries to prevent or eliminate various soldering defects and choose the most suitable material, that meets the properties of the electronic component base, as well as use Pb-free technology, that gives the greatest flexibility in using the electronic component base. In this paper, the characteristics of Pb-free solder pastes were analyzed, an algorithm for choosing a solder paste was described, an example of the choice of solder paste based on the productions process conditions on Pb-free solder pastes S3X48-M500 and S3X58-M500C-7 produces by the Japanese company KOKI was given, and conclusions on the choice of solder paste for a certain process was drawn.
