Phylogenetic Relationship of Lonicera caerulea var.edulis Based on ITS Sequences

Taking Heptacodium miconioides as outgroup,ITS sequence of 20 species of Lonicera,were analyzed.The results showed that Lonicera caerulea var.edulis and other species of Subsect.Caerulea Rehd gathered together,bootstrap reached at 99%,consistent with the traditional classification,so it will not support Lonicera caerulea var.edulis as a new genus.
