Necessity Analysis of Constructing BRT(Bus Rapid Transit) System in Nanchang City

BRT is an economical,effective and new-type urban public transport model with the core thought that public transport should be given priority. The present situation of Nanchang′s public transportation and existent questions are analyzed and the reasons for establishing BRT in Nanchang City are expounded combining with the successful experiences in cities at home and abroad. Finally some suggestion is put forward concerning BRT in Nanchang City,which is of great significance to establishing BRT system in the city.
