Comparation of curative effect of transurethral vapo-resection of prostate and transurethral resection of prostate for treatment of hyperplasia of prostate

Objective To compare and analyze the curative effect of transurethral vapo-resection of prostate and transurethral resection of prostate for treatment of hyperplasia of prostate.Methods 90 patients with hyperplasia of prostate in our hospital from March 2011 to February 2013 were randomly divided into observation group(n=45) and control group(n=45).Observation group was given the transurethral vapo-resection of prostate therapy,and control group was given the transurethral resection of prostate.The effect of two groups was compared.Results The operation time,peri-operative bleeding,flushing time,indwelling catheter time,was shorter than those of the control group(P0.05);residual urine volume,international prostate symptom score and quality of life in observation group were significantly better than those in control group(P0.05).There was no significant difference about the complacation between two groups(P0.05).Conclusions Transurethral vapo-resection of prostate for treatment of hyperplasia of prostate has many advantages,in cluding better effect,less bleeding and quick recovery.It can be as preferred method to treat hyperplasia of prostate.
