Melting behavior of ethylene oxide–propylene oxide (sym‐EPE) block copolymers

Abstract Melting points have been measured for several ethylene oxide–propylene oxide block copolymers (sym‐EPE) chosen from the Pluronic range. Melting points of the block copolymers are lower than those of the corresponding poly(ethylene oxide) homopolymer by up to 4°C. The melting point depressions are much smaller than those observed for comparable sym‐PEP block copolymers.
