Non-Natural Peptide Containing Ru(II)- and Pd(II)- Bipyridine Complexes in the Main Chain

Non-natural peptides containing Ru(II) and Pd(II)-bipyridine complexes in the main chain were synthesized and characterized by spectral measurements and element analysis. The 5,5'-disubstituted derivatives exhibit red-shifted ~ - ~ * transition bands, which suggest the presence of extended ~ -conjugated system.
