UV determination of contents of oleanlic acid

Objective To establish UV method for the determination of content of oleanlic acid. Methods In 210 nm wavelength, with methanol as solvent, describe standard curve of oleanlic acid, and determine the contents of oleanlic acid pills. Results The calibration curves was linear in the concentration range of 4-120μg·ml-1, r=0.9993. The average recovery rate was 99.0%, RSD = 0.8% (n=5). Conclusions The method is simple, rapid, and the results is accurate and reproducible. It has been used in determination of contents of oleanlic acid with satisfactory results.
