The Consumption Problem:Another Angle to Interpret Environmental Problems

A theoretical perspective of the consumption problem is given to explain that human beings should eliminate traditional bad consumption behaviors firstly for solving environment problems.The consumption problem means there are problems of human beings' consumption behaviors,which main characteristic is our consumption greatly exceeding our actual needs,such as the high consumption,excessive consumption,conspicuous consumption,etc.It caused serious environmental problems.We can even say that it is a core of environment problems.Those bad consumption behaviors caused by unlimited consumption desire are deep reasons of the resource crisis and environmental deterioration.Meanwhile,the consumption problem is caused by misinterpreting of consumer sovereignty,namely consumption supremacy.This misinterpretation is opposite to ecological ethics,acquiescing people's continuously greed in fact.Therefore,people should use the idea of ecological civilization instead of consumption supremacy to guide consumption behaviors and achieve own consumption demands.This is a certain choice to solve the consumption problem and even environment problems.
