Spinel LiMn_2O_4,which is one of the most promising anode materials for lithium-ion batteries,has some problems in use,and one of them is fading of capacity after cycling.The Jahn-Teller effect is one of the major factors leading to the capacity fading of spinel LiMn_2O_4.Li-rich spinel(Li_(1+x)Mn_(2-x)O_4) was prepared by the sol-gel method,the Jahn-Teller effect of spinel LiMn_2O_4 has been researched by analyzing the XRD measurement,lattice constants and the ratio of c_(Mn~~(4+)) to c_(Mn~~(3+)).The results show that the Jahn-Teller effect is inhibited when the calcinatin temperature reaches 650 ℃ and x=0.05.
