Management of 174 Cases with Severe Multiple Injuries in Thorax and Abdomen

Objective:To discuss clinical diagnosis and treatment of the thoracic and abdominal injury complicated with severe multiple trauma.Methods:The clinical data of 194 cases of the thorax and abdomen in severe multiple trauma treated in our hospital from Sept.1999～Aug.2006 were analyzed.Results:194 patients underwent immediate abdominal operations.51 cases had a good recovery,54 cases with thoracotomy,35 cases were died(12%).Conclusions:Systematic analysis of the multiple injuries of thorax and abdomen is an effective way to raise diagnosis incidence,treat and decrease the complication,It is vital to treat ARD and MOF.
