Development of Chitosan as Flocculants

Chitosan as a kind of new natural high polymer flocculants was widely used in water treatment. The preparation, application and its flocculation mechanism was introduced. Chitosan was advantageous over inorganic and organic synthesized flocculants in wastewater treatment and resource recovery.
