Comparison of Gastrodin Content in Different Kinds of Gastrodia elata Bl.

The gastrodin in Gastrodia elata Bl. was analyzed with HPLC. The samples were separated with the column of Hypersil ODS-2 in acetonitrile-0.05% phosphoric acid(3∶97,V / V). The results showed that gastrodin in Gastrodia elata Bl. f.glaucca S Chow, Wuhong hybrid and G. elata Bl. f elata was 0.423%(m / m), 0.321%, and 0.225%, respectively. The gastrodin content in Wuhong hybrid from the place of low altitude in Dabie mountain was found to be higher compared with that in G. elata Bl. f elata.
