Study on the technological conditions for formic acid synthesis from CO_2 hydrogenation

The supported Cu based catalysts were prepared by impregnation-chemical reduction method.Catalytic activities were evaluated on micro fixed-bed reactor.Effects of temperature,pressure,H2/CO2 molar ratio,space velocity on reaction were studied.Results showed that temperature and pressure affected catalytic activity obviously,the higher temperature and pressure were contributable to improve CO2 conversion and formic acid yield,suitable H2/CO2 ratio was about 4 and space velocity was 5 000~11 000 h-1.
