Taxonomic contributions to Indian Thripinae (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), with new records and descriptions of previously unknown sexes

Descriptions are provided of the previously unknown female of Trachynotothrips vyaghravahini Sujith, Rachana & Jayalaxmi and the previously unknown male of Exothrips ananthakrishnani Bhatti. Micropterae of both sexes are documented for the first time in the genus Exothrips Priesner. Thrips kali Bhatti is considered a syn. nov. of Thrips formosanus Priesner, and the male of this species is described for the first time. In addition, Caprithrips insularis Beshear is reported from India for the first time.
