Aim: studying prevalence of main behavioral and biological risk factors among medical students. Materials and methods: the study included 396 students (27,3% men, 72,3% women), mean age 23,0 (σ = +/1,3) and was conducted by the following scheme: questionnaire designed by CINDI, measuring blood pressure, waist circumference, height, weight, body mass index, lipoprotein in blood serum. Results and discussion. We found high prevalence of smoking, drinking alcohol, overweight and abdominal obesity, dislipoproteinemia. There is higher prevalence of overweight and abdominal obesity, and lower prevalence of underweight body among men than among women. We detected straight correlation between body mass index and abdominal obesity, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and feedback correlation between body mass index and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
