The Calculation and Analysis on Single Column Pier Continuous Box Girder Bridge of Stability against Overturning

Under the action of the eccentric accidental overloading,the overall lateral instability of single column pier bridge may occur.Through to the analysis of the ability against overturning on continuous box girder bridge,and WuDing to Kunming highway in Yunnan Province a total of 9 single column pier box girder bridges resistive overturning checking calculation for the engineering background,by using the finite element analysis program MIDAS/CIVIL2006,to check the overall stability against overturning of the box girder under the worst lateral force,and put forward some corresponding countermeasures,to avoid the phenomenon of bearing separation and enhance the ability of bridge stability against overturning.
