Gas diffusion electrode was applied to the system of electrocatalytic hydrogenation of benzene.The effects of the preparation conditions and operation conditions on the performance of gas diffusion electrode were investigated by evaluating the efficiency of electricity.Also,the apparent activation energy of the reaction of hydrogenation of benzene and the reaction of production of hydrogen was figured out respectively based on the experimental data.The optimal conditions were ascertained by investigating the effects of temperature,acidity,benzene,vapor and fluid rate of N_2 on the performance of gas diffusion electrode.The conclusion can be drawn that gas diffusion electrode can improve the reaction rate effectively by contrasting the electricity of the reaction in which gas diffusion electrode is applied and gas diffusion electrode is not applied.
