A case of myxofibroma in the area of the anterior maxilla.

A case of myxofibroma in the area of the anterior maxilla is reported.The patient was a 24-year old woman.She complained of a depression in her palatal mucosa.Radiographs showed a unilocular radiolucent area in the 1 2 3 4 region.The tumor was extirpated under general anesthesia.Histopathologic examination revealed the presence of islands of odontogenic epithelium in fibromatous tissue.There is no evidence of tumor recurrence as of 20 months after operation.
