Analysis of Elevator Energy Saving Principal with Variable Counterweight Displacement

In order to improve energy-saving effect,it proposes an elevator with variable counterweight displacement to equalize the change of the potential energy of elevator car.An automatic transmission is installed between traction mechanism and counterweight.The variation of the potential energy of counterweight can be adjusted by changing its displacement.It discusses the energy changes of working elevator in 5 classifications,analyzes energy saving principals of elevator with variable counterweight displacement regarding each classification.
