Application of Electrical Resistivity Tomography to Leakage Diagnosis of Earth Rock-Fill Dam

In order to make a more accurate diagnosis of leakage position,the resistivity tomographic technology is used in the leakage diagnosis of earth rock-fill dam at Dalin reservoir,for the resisitivity parameters of medium are sensitive to the water.The results of field investgation show that,there are seepage flows located above the part of 331.5 m at the extended earth rock-fill dam and the left bank part of the dam;at the same time,there is seepage potential located above 329.0 m at the right bank part of homogeneous earth dam.The reinforced methods are proposed according to the diagnosis results,including replacing earth-rock matierials located above 331.5 m and 329.0 m at the right bank part of homogeneous earth dam,constructing a 61 m length impermeable barrier and so on,which provide scientific basis for the repairment and reinforcement of earth rock-fill dam of Dalin reservoir.
