The present paper covers the electrochemical behavior of the interaction of 8-Azaguanine(8-AG) with DNA at pH 3.6.It was found that the oxidation current of 8-AG decreased on account of adding DNA.From the determination of the electrochemical parameters in the absence and presence of DNA,the results showed that an electrochemical inactive supermolecular complex was formed by static reaction. The composition of the complex was 1∶2,with the combining constant of 1.38×10~(10).The decrease in peak current of 8-AG is proportional to DNA concentration and it can be used to determine DNA concentration.
