Objective A rat model of acuted liver injury induced by thioacetamide was esblished, and to study the best dose of thioace tamide and time point and the most appropriate gender of the rats in this model. Methods The model of acute liver injury was induced by in traperitoneal injection of different dose of thioacetamide, measuring the values of ALT and AST in serum and the changes of liver morphology. Results The serum ALT and AST values were significantly higher in Thioacetamide 200 mg / kg group and histology showed that stem cell de generation and necrosis. And the liver change was uniform. Conclusion In this experimental condition TAA 200 mg/kg is the best dose, the male rats is better than the female and after 24 hours of injection thioacetamide is the best time point for the acute live injury.
