Synthesis of 1-bromo-2,3,6-tri-O-acetyl-4-chloro-4-deoxy-α-D-galactopyranose

1-bromo-2,3,6-tri-O-acetyl-4-chloro-4-deoxy-α-D-galactopyranose was synthesized from sucrose via dehydration reaction,hydrolysis reaction,acetylation reaction and bromination reaction.The overall yield could reach 74.0 %.The method has high industrial value thanks to its low production cost,convenient steps,simplicity and high yield.
