In this paper, the adsorption performance of methylene blue(MB)solution by sepiolite or modified sepiolite by HCl was studied.At room temperature,the adsorptive dynamics was studied and the velocity constant was calculated.The adsorption isotherm of sepiolite was studied and the maximum adsorptive capacity of sepiolite was measured.It was found that the adsorptive velocity of modified sepiolite by HCl was faster than commonly sepiolite. The Langmuir equation could be adaptable to sepiolite sorbents.
