Advantage of explicit finite element method is take to simulate the ignition process of naked and confined charges by shaped charge. The different functions between naked and confined charges ignited by shaped charge jet are analyzed in the contexts. The ignition phenomena of stimulated explosives by shaped charge jet are also discussed. The results indicate that naked charge ignited by shaped charge jet depends on the characteristic parameters of the jet, while confined charge ignited by shaped charge jet is correlated with the properties of confinement.
