Preparation and Properties of Polymerizable Quaternary Ammonium Salt and Its Copolymer

A kind of polymerizable quaternary ammonium salt is synthesized with 4-vinylbenzyl chloride and N,N-dimethyldodecylamine,and its copolymer with acrylonitrile is prepared by free radical solution polymerization technology.The structures of the monomer and copolymer are characterized by means of FT-IR,1HNMR and EA,meanwhile the thermal stability is analyzed using DSC-TG,and the antibacterial property is tested against different bac-teria.The results show that the thermal stability and antibacterial property of copolymer are better than those of monomer.
