ChemInform Abstract: Tris(acetylacetonato)Rhodium(III)‐Catalyzed α‐Alkylation of Ketones, β‐Alkylation of Secondary Alcohols and Alkylation of Amines with Primary Alcohols.

Abstract It is demonstrated that Rh(acac) 3 in the presence of KOH and DABCO is a very efficient catalyst for the α‐alkylation of ketones, the β‐alkylation of secondary alcohols as well as the alkylation of amines with primary alcohols without the need of an external H 2 source.
