ABSTRACT Core‐shell structured luminescent materials, specifically SiO 2 @YPO 4 :Eu 3+ and SiO 2 @YPO 4 :Eu 3+ ,Tb 3+ , were synthesized by a combination of coprecipitation and high temperature solid‐state methods. Structural characterization confirmed that tetragonal YPO 4 ‐coated the SiO 2 cores. When excited at 395 nm, the Eu 3+ ‐doped material exhibited dominant 5 D 0 → 7 F 1 emission at 593 nm. Codoping with Tb 3+ enabled near‐white light modulation, indicating potential for WLED applications.
