Analysis of the impact of network public opinion on urban public security and strategy research

With the advent of the information age, netizens are more willing to express their wishes on the Internet. However, while narrowing the distance between the public and the government, there are often problems of uncontrolled information dissemination. Network public opinion emerges as the times require a combination of traditional public opinion and modern communication media. The uncertain factors and security risks of the virtual environment also bring great challenges to urban public safety to some extent, and the multiplier effect of public opinion also has a great impact on it. Therefore, from the perspective of analyzing the impact of network public opinion on public security, this paper proposes relevant mechanisms and strategies for city managers in terms of big data, opinion leaders, and laws and regulations. It is more necessary to improve network security governance in public security.
