Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have attracted considerable attention as sustainable, next-generation solvents. In this study, we report the formation of supramolecular eutectogels using mangiferin (MF), a naturally occurring C -glucosyl xanthone. MF successfully induced gelation in typical DESs composed of choline chloride and various hydrogen-bond donors, including urea, ethylene glycol, and glycerol. The gelation behavior was dependent on the hydrogen-bond donor, with significant differences observed in the time required for gelation. Furthermore, microscopic observations and XRD measurements revealed that MF formed distinct self-assembled network structures depending on the DES composition. Rheological measurements revealed the viscoelastic properties of the eutectogels, which supported the formation of three-dimensional supramolecular networks. These findings highlight the potential of MF as a bio-based gelator for DES-based soft materials and provide valuable insights into the rational design of sustainable supramolecular eutectogels for future applications.
