Revisiting the reported emission spectrum of Cs 2 NaBiCl 6

Revised spectral assignments are given for the electronic spectra of Cs 2 NaBiCl 6 ( Inorg. Chem. Front. , 2022, 9 , 6379–6390). Near infrared emissions are assigned to Fe 3+ and Cr 3+ . Both are present as trace impurities in the samples.
