Objective To evaluate computed tomographic(CT) characteristics of intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH),and analyze the relationship between CT findings and clinical treatment and prognosis. Methods Twelve patients (10 males and 2 females,57-79 years old with a mean of 64.6) were collected in this group. 12 patients were all examined by CT axial plain scan of head. CT findings of 12 cases with intracerbral hemorrhage were identified retrospectively with literature review. Results 12 cases of the patients were confirmed to be intracerebral hemorrhage by CT. The main special signs of intracerebral hemorrhage on CT included intracerebral shadow of high-density,mass effect and peripheral edema. The high-density hematoma were round or mission-shaped with inner lane(n=5),reniform(n=3),irregular-shaped(n=4),and irregular-shaped with inner lane(n=3). Conclusion CT is a convenient and reliable way in the diagnosis of intracerebral hemorrhage, and definite diagnosis is helpful to select clinical treatment method and estimate prognosis.
