Information Embedded in Chinese Characters and Chinese Teaching to International Students

With the application of semantic information theory,this paper explored such information features of Chinese characters as the forms of strokes,rules of stroke writing ordering,semantics of character components,combinations of character components,motivation of character component combinations,and the visual effects of Chinese characters.On the basis of an analysis of the Chinese character strokes,orthography,patterns of character constructing,character components,motivations of single character configuration and the six ways o f character production,it further ways of teaching Chinese characters in teaching Chinese as a second language.
