Studies on chemical constituents of Dichondra repens

OBJECTIVE To investigate the isolation and structural elucidation of the whole herb of Dichondra repens Forst.METHODS Column chromatography of silica gel was used to separate the chemical constituents.IR,MS, 1H NMR, 13 C NMR were used to determine the structures of the isolated constituents.RESULTS Seven compounds were identified by spectral analyses as β sitosterol(Ⅰ),vanillin(Ⅱ),octatriacontane(Ⅲ),maltol(Ⅳ),ursolic acid(Ⅴ),scopoletin(Ⅵ) and umbelliferone(Ⅶ) respectively.CONCLUSION All compounds were obtained from Dichondra repens Forst for the first time.
