Temperature distribution in vivo tissues heated by high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)

The temperature distributions in situ vivo tissues(live pigs) were measured by means of a radio frequency(RF) equipment with seven thermo-sensors after heating by the high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) set.It is found that the temperature distributions in vivo tissues depend upon the local temperature,the higher the local temperature the higher the temperature gradient.The flow of the blood(or blood perfusion) seems to reduce the temperature gradient,which is in concordance with our theoretical prediction.
