Synthesis and Spectrum Properties of a Novel Schiff-base Compound Derived from Coumarin

A novel Schiff-base named N,N-bis(3-acetoacetyl-7-diethylamino-coumarin)-1,2-diaminoethane,derived from 3-acetoacetyl-7-diethylamino-coumarin and 1,2-diaminoethane,was synthesized in the presence of acetic acid in ethanol solution.The structure of the Schiff-base compound was characterized by IR,1H NMR and element analysis.The UV-Vis absorption spectrum and fluorescence properties were investigated.
