Recently, Su et al. reported that circulating microRNA-1 (miR-1) is an independent risk factor for diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) [ [1] Tong S. Shao X. Zhang X. Yang C. Shao X. Value of circulating miRNA-1 detected within 3 h after the onset of acute chest pain in the diagnosis and prognosis of acute myocardial infarction. Int J Cardiol. 2019; 8: 1-6 Google Scholar ]. However, we found that circulating miR-1/UCA1 axis maybe the more meaningful and valuable AMI diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers than miR-1 levels alone.
