Objective
To understand the cognition of medical staff and implementation of intra-hospital transport for critical patients and analyze the differences between cognition and implementation so as to provide a basis for improving the intra-hospital transport by medical staff.
Methods
From 1st to 20th of December 2018, We selected 306 medical staffs at a ClassⅢ Grade A hospital in Jinzhou as subjects by convenience sampling. The cognition and implementation of intra-hospital transport of medical staff for critical patients were investigated with the questionnaire and compared using t test.
Results
The score of medical staffs' cognition on intra-hospital transport for critical patients was (120.98±17.66) ; the highest score was (28.41±3.40) in transport handover, and the lowest score was (22.70±3.94) in organization management. The implementation status was (105.56±25.42) ; the dimension of transport handover had the highest score (26.41±4.91) and dimension of education training had the lowest score (18.37±5.63) . There were statistical differences between the item scores of cognition and scores of status (P<0.01) .
Conclusions
Scores of medical staffs' cognition on transport were higher than scores of implementation status. Hospital managers can put forward administration regulations and improvement measures according to investigation results of implementation status to ensure the safety of critical patients in intra-hospital transport.
