Objective To analyze the relationship between ST-segment deviation and QRS complex characteristics in myocardial ischemia(MI) detection basing on electrocardiogram(ECG).Methods The templates of heart beats were extracted, and the appropriate heart beats were selected. Then ST-segment deviation and various QRS complex characteristics were calculated, containing QRS upward and downward slopes, angle R and Q in triangle QRS.Finally, the fitting trends and corresponding relationship between QRS complex characteri-stics and ST-segment deviation were analyzed. Results After the Long Term ST database(LTST) verification,it was found that QRS upward slope, with the trend opposite to angle R,had the consistent trend with downward slope. The relationship between angle Q and other QRS complex characteristcs was not marked. In addition,a good corresponding relationship between QRS complex characteristics and ST-segment deviation was found after the European ST database verification. Conclusion Myocardial ischemia detection on the basis of ST-segment combined with the assisted QRS-complex characteristics is of great significance.
