The investigation and research for inhabit characters of Cnaphalocrocis medinalis larvae in the roll leaves indicated that three days after heavy larval infestation, the rate of 1~2 instar larval inhabitancy in rolling leaves is 100%; the rate in rolled leaves is 0~28.57%, and average rate is 12.25%. 5 days after heavy larval infestation, the rate of 1~3 instar larval inhabitancy in rolling leaves is 50%~92.86%; and average rate is 69.02%. The rate in rolled leaves is 0~32%, and average rate is 11.28%. Therefore, the 1~3 instar larval used to inhabiting the rolling and rolled leaves. the control effect evaluation for field trail is calculated according to amount of larvae in rolling and rolled leaves.
